A friend of mine asked me this yesterday when I went to visit her in the hospital. She was one of the unfortunate ones in metro blast that occurred last month. It didn't take me long to answer her as I myself have thought of such a question before.
And my reply was "Yes, of course there is one". And I started sharing about God, about the things that He did and didn't do. I guess the best person to comfort such people is the person who had been through the same experience before. As I said before, I was once hospitalized unexpectedly and underwent a traumatic operation that changed my life.
She thinks that life isn't fair, and I said that life isn't suppose to be fair. It also depends on how u define fair. Does fair means that the same thing that happened to u must also happen to others or do u define it as other people going through other misfortunes in life? I personally prefer the second definition. When I was still in hospital, my definition of fair was the first. I used to question God; why does it have to be me of all people out there? Why is He doing this to me? And I thought that He will never forsake me, that He will never put me through tests that I can't endure. That He will be there with me, carrying me through. Where is He when I needed Him???
At that time, I wanted to stop believing but something held me back. The feeling just isn't right but those questions never stop haunting me. I opened and read my bible, and tears formed at the brim of my eyes. I started crying and my fellow roommates just looked at me, not knowing how to comfort me. And I know, it was God who was moving in me. My doctor came and saw me crying. She stopped by, asked me why, and tried to comfort me. When I looked up, I saw a cross hanging around her neck. And she was God sent angel who has come to comfort me.
So I told my friend that life is actually fair. Certain misfortunes happen to you but other misfortunes happen to others. But all that matter is that God will always pull us through thick and thin, and tat He will never forsake us, just like what He has promised us in the bible. At least she has a happy and caring family, loving dog, and beloved friends which other people do not have. She is truly a lucky girl!!!
God bless....=0)

Moscow Blast
On the 29th of March, a horror struck us. Innocently as my friends travel to class by metro, they suddenly became a victim of a suicide bomber.
After the incident, everyone became weary and afraid. Metro is our main public transport here in Moscow. Approximately 7 million ppl travel by metro daily, and we malaysians are part of this sum. Our life here practically depends on metro.
4 of my friends were injured that day. It was such a coincidence for them to be in the same train and same carriage at the same time as the suicide bomber. WOW!!! But they are really really lucky to be alive today. And i'm so glad that i can still see them around, and that we all are able to graduate together this daunting year. Many unpleasant experiences happened to us (final year students) since the beginning of the year 2010. So far, 6 of us here have been hospitalized. It's a terrifying NIGHTMARE to us here.Luckily, we are left with only 3 more months till graduation.
A few days ago, another friend of mine was hospitalized because of furuncle with necrotic tissue. The doctor said that the wound was quite deep and she has to stay for a week or two. Right now, she is still there hoping to be back with us. Our Almighty God is the God who answers all prayers. I pray for all my friends right now who are still hospitalized to be Healed and touched by HIm.AMEN!!!
